Personal profile

Research interests

I am a molecular ecologist and evolutionary biologist whose research sits at the interface of ecology, genomics, and host–microbiome interactions. Broadly, my work seeks to understand how environmental change shapes the foraging-, nutritional-, and microbial-ecology of wild animals.

I am particularly interested in how variation in diet — driven by seasonal shifts, resource limitation, or habitat change — is relfected in microbiome composition and function, and how these changes influence host nutrition, health, immunity, and fitness.

My approach is inherently interdisciplinary, combining cutting-edge molecular and computational tools, including high-throughput sequencing, bioinformatics, ecological modelling, and trait-based analyses, to develop frameworks that link molecular data with ecological processes.
