Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is twofold: firstly, to discover what critical junctures impacted the public discourse about lethal autonomous weapons in the U.S.A. between 2001 and 2019. Secondly, to understand and describe how (the mechanism) and to what degree (the extent), these critical junctures impacted the public discourse.
