Abstract
The spectral effects at various wavelengths relative to the zero group velocity dispersion (GVD) point in the photonic crystal fibre were studied. A soliton self-frequency shifted peak (SSFS) which could be tuned to longer wavelengths with increasing incident pump power in regions of greater anomalous dispersion was found. The interaction between the different fibre modes under the influence of linear as well as the dominant effects was considered.
