Climate change is a health emergency, impacting multiple facets of human well-being via direct and indirect pathways. Nature Climate Change asked experts from different health fields to share their thoughts on the urgent issues and possible paths forward.

Funding
Adelaide M. Lusambili is an associate professor at the Environmental Health and Governance Centre (EHAG) at Africa International University. She was the lead investigator for the CHAMNHA study in Kenya. Her current research, funded by the Medical Research Fund, centres on gathering data on temperatures and humidity levels in different settings to develop mathematical functions for estimating indoor temperatures from weather data and identifying building structures conducive to maternal and neonatal health.
