Abstract
Relations between the Ukraine and the EU have made unspectacular progress since the 2004 Orange Revolution, despite the expectations raised by the democratic uprising in Kiev and the Union’s enlargement to Central and Eastern Europe. This Policy Brief by Amanda Akçakoca and Richard Whitman analyses the likely impact of recent developments in both Ukraine and the EU on the relationship, and considers what both sides need to do to forge closer ties.
