N2 - Information is transmitted from a beam of light to the plasmonic outputs of U-shaped nanostructures via four distinct logical states, depending on the polarization of the incoming light. Upon coupling the output extremities of the U-shaped switches to plasmonic metamaterial waveguides, information could be channeled through an all-optical circuit.
