Abstract

(Chemical Equation Presented) Fluoral arrangement: The calcium β-diketiminate complex 1 (see scheme) not only exhibits an unexpected and unprecedented binding mode of a CF3 group, from which one fluorine atom coordinates to the Ca center, but also undergoes C-F bond cleavage through the formation of a heteroleptic calcium fluoride complex.
