Abstract

We were asked by The Palestine Shelter Cluster (a grouping of the major aid agencies) to help input into an architectural design specification for 60,000 shelters to be rapidly delivered into Gaza under the peace accord of January 2025.

This report represents our response. It uses the tools produced as part of the Healthy Housing for the Displaced project, ShelTherm and SAM, and other tools such as ZEBRA, to produce design specifications, accounting for both thermal comfort and social considerations.
