Abstract
This paper explores the internationalisation of higher education in China, focusing on curriculum development at H University as a case study. The research delves into the theoretical frameworks underpinning international education, including transformational internationalisation and the concept of 'internationalisation at home.' It examines the curriculum's structure, highlighting the integration of formal, informal, and hidden curricula to foster global competencies. Furthermore, the study analyses the implementation of global citizenship education with Chinese characteristics and adapting the CDIO model to enhance practice-oriented learning. The findings reveal both the strengths and challenges of H University's internationalisation efforts, offering insights into practical strategies for curriculum reform and international talent cultivation within Chinese higher education. The paper concludes with recommendations for enhancing interdisciplinary content, student integration, and collaborative frameworks to support China's educational globalisation goals.
