Abstract
We present a genome assembly from an individual female Eledona agricola (darkling beetle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Tenebrionidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 358.83 megabases. Most of the assembly (75.64%) is scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.31 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

Data Availability Statement
European Nucleotide Archive: Eledona agricola. Accession number PRJEB71655. The genome sequence is released openly for reuse. The Eledona agricola genome sequencing initiative is part of the Darwin Tree of Life Project (PRJEB40665) and the Sanger Institute Tree of Life Programme (PRJEB43745). All raw sequence data and the assembly have been deposited in INSDC databases. The genome will be annotated using available RNA-Seq data and presented through the Ensembl pipeline at the European Bioinformatics Institute. Raw data and assembly accession identifiers are reported in Table 1 and Table 2 Production code used in genome assembly at the WSI Tree of Life are available at https://github.com/sanger-tol.
