The dynamics of water molecules in ionic solution as studied by incoherent quasi-elastic neutron scattering

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The high-resolution incoherent quasi-elastic neutron scattering (IQENS) technique is applied to study the translational diffusive motion of water protons in aqueous ionic solution. It is shown that the measured spectra give information on the cation-proton binding time and proton diffusion coefficients in solution.
