Abstract

Nonlinear elastic chain with a two-barier periodic substrate potential (the generalized Frenkel-Kontorova model) is considered, Low-amplitude dynamical localized excitations with the parameters lying in the gap and near the gap of the linear wave spectrum - gap and near-gap solitons - are studied.
