Templated amplification of an unexpected receptor for C70

Abstract

C70 mixes things up: C70 fullerene triggers the formation of a supramolecular receptor based on amino acid functionalized naphthalene diimides. This hexameric receptor is formed at the expense of a supramolecular helical nanotube (see picture) and highlights the dynamic combinatorial nature of hydrogen‐bonded scaffolds.
