Abstract

Research data management is full of challenges, whether considered at the level of institutional service provision or from the perspective of a researcher embarking on a project. This talk looks at some of the tools and guidance available to tackle these challenges: DAF and CARDIO for assessing the current state of data management practice; DMP Online for planning project-level data management; RAIDmap and the Smart Research Framework for keeping track of data records; and the DCC How-to Guides on licensing datasets and making them citable.
