Abstract

The neutral osmium-selenido clusters [Os₅(μ-H)(CO)₁₅(μ₃-SePh)] (2) and [Os₆(μ₃-H)(CO)₁₈(μ₃-SeH)] (5) have been isolated in good yield by reaction of PhSeCl with [Os₅H(CO)₁₅]^- and [Os₆H(CO)₁₅]^·- respectively. The structures of 2 and 5 have been established by single crystal X-ray analysis.
