Abstract

The title compound, [(CH)CH]NH ·[(PhPOH)SnPh]-, has been synthesised and its structure determined by spectroscopies (IR, RMN and Mössbauer) and single crystal X-ray crystallography. The Mössbauer spectroscopy data for the title compound (QS = 3.50 mm s ) are in accordance with the trans OSnC geometry at tin atom. The SnPh residue is axially coordinated by two monodentate [PhPO H]- anions, leading to a trigonal-bipyramidal geometry around the tin atom. The anions [(PhPOH)SnPh]- are linked by pairs of O-H⋯O interaction, forming an infinite chain. In the crystal, neighbouring chains are linked by hydrogen bonds N-H⋯O via the cation [(CH)CH]NH forming a three-dimensional network.
