Abstract
The first example of an osmium cluster containing μ4-oxo groups, [Os11(μ4-O)(CO)30] 1, has been obtained from the vacuum pyrolysis of [Os3H(CO)10(μ-OH) ], and has been shown by X-ray crystallography to contain a tri-edge bridged, bicapped trigonal prismatic metal core.
