Abstract

The first example of an osmium cluster containing μ₄-oxo groups, [Os₁₁(μ₄-O)(CO)₃₀] 1, has been obtained from the vacuum pyrolysis of [Os₃H(CO)₁₀(μ-OH) ], and has been shown by X-ray crystallography to contain a tri-edge bridged, bicapped trigonal prismatic metal core.
