Abstract

Sodalites containing the ions MnO and ClO have been synthesised and characterised by powder X-ray diffraction, IR, UV and solid state NMR spectroscopy; both materials may be heated to 500°C before undergoing intracage decomposition to manganate and chloride ion containing sodalites, respectively.
