Abstract

ZnCl<inf>2</inf>·2H<inf>2</inf>NN(H)But·H<inf>2</inf>O contains a tetrahedral metal centre with two coordinated hydrazine ligands. Hydrogen bonds between the hydrazine and water, along with weaker intermolecular NH...Cl, OH...Cl and NH...O hydrogen bonds, generate an associated lattice.
