Abstract

[Os₅(CO)₁₅POMe] has been isolated as a product of the pyrolysis of [Os₃(CO)₁₁P(OMe)₃]; a single-crystal X-ray analysis has shown that the metal atoms adopt a square-pyramidal geometry with the phosphite ligand capping the square face.
