Abstract

The compound [Os7(μ-H)2C(CO)19] (1) was isolated in good yield by vacuum pyrolysis of [Os3(μ-H) 3(CO)93-COMe)], deprotonation of (1) gives [Os7(μ-H)C(CO)19]- (2); the structures of (1) and (2) have been established by X-ray crystallography.
