Abstract
two novel supramolecular frameworks based on poly-tetrazoles [C6H3(CN(4)H())3-1,3,5.2(C4H8O2-1,4).H2O (1) and CH2(CN4H)(2) (2)], which are isosteres of the commonly exploited trimesic and malonic acid synthons, are reported. Both develop supramolecular arrays based on N-H...N and N-H...O hydrogen bonds in which N-1...N-4 combinations lead to planar arrays while N-1...N-3 interactions lead to less regular (non-planar) sheet structures.
