Abstract

Subcarrier modulation (SCM) transmission of 2.5 Gb/s over 300 m of 6.25-μm-core diameter multimode fibers (MMF) was discussed. In SCM the RF response of MMF does not tend steadily to zero. It was found that SEM improves the quality of transmission over MMF links.
