N2 - This research is the evaluation of the United World College initative in the Mostar Gymnasium, which brings together students from different ethnic groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bosnia and Herzegovina was devastated by inter-ethnic conflict during the early 1990s and deep divisions remain among the communities of Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks who, in many schools, continue to be educated in separate classes.
This research project was designed as an impact evaluation of the success (or otherwise) of a project to encourage greater integration between:
*Students from the three different communities of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Serbian, Croat and Bosniak) at the United World College in Mostar
*Bosnia and Herzegovina students at the United World College in Mostar and the students of other nationalities
*The wider Mostar Gymnasium student body.
