Abstract

The paper deals with 3D Finite Element (FEM) simulations of fully clamped rectangular Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastics (CFRP) composite plates subjected to blast loads generated by C4 explosive charges. The work compares experimental data with numerical results carried out using LS-DYNA commercial code.
