Source of correlated photon Pairs for quantum information using photonic crystal fiber

Abstract

We demonstrate a bright, narrowband, polarized, single-mode, low-background source of correlated photon pairs in photonic crystal fibre, for quantum information applications. We detect 10 coincidences/s at wavelengths of 595nm and 880nm using Silicon detectors.
