Abstract
This chapter first provides essential information about the legislation which guides the development of social work professionalism in mental health settings in Taiwan. It then explores the development of social care in mental health and introduces the mental health settings in which social work practices are carried out. The chapter concludes by discussing some of the challenges facing social work in mental health.
