Simulaton of the bi-stable valve in the A340 landing gear

Abstract

This paper describes the application of BATHfp to perform a detailed analysis of the bi-stable valve in the A340 landing gear absorber. During the development of the landing gear system, the shock abosorber was subjected to drop tests, during which a malfunction of the bi-stable valve was identified. A solution to the problem was found and incorporated before installation on the aircraft. Parametric variations are made in the simulation to identify the possible cause of the malfunction
