Abstract

The heterogeneous reaction of elemental selenium with the monomeric complex [Cd(C≡CPh)₂(tmen)] (2:1 equivalents) produced the unusual loosely linked dimer [{Cd(SeC≡CPh)₂(tmen)}₂].
