Abstract

To ensure high-quality data from the Starting Strong Teaching and Learning InternationalSurvey (TALIS Starting Strong) 2018, the survey’s international consortium developed and implemented a quality control programme designed to monitor participating countries’compliance with predefined procedures and standards. The quality control programme consisted of quality control measures at national and international levels as well as a questionnaire designed to elicit information from the national study centres. As summarised in this chapter, the findings of the quality control programme show that theparticipating countries generally complied with the procedural standards established for administration of the survey.
