Abstract

We report on recent progress in the conception and fabrication of HCPCFs for unconventional spectral range. A brief review of the most noteworthy fibers laser sources based on gas-filled HCPCFs optically pumped is presented. After, recent works done in our group about light generation induced by an original discharge scheme in gas filled hollow-core capillaries with inner diameter down to 100 m are developped. The opportunities to transfer these unprecedented results to the world of HCPCFs opening the route towards the first fiber gas laser based on a glow discharge.
