Abstract

The reaction of [Os₃(CO)₁₁(NCCH₃)] (I) with diazomethane and with allene gives the clusters [Os₃(CO)₁₁CH₂] (II) and [Os₃(CO)₁₁C(CH₂)₂] (III), respectively, in high yields, the structure of the latter complex has been confirmed by a single crystal X-ray analysis.
