Abstract

The cluster [H₃CoOs₃(CO)₁₂] was prepared from the reaction of [H₂Os₃(CO)₁₀] with [Co₄(CO)₁₂] in heptane under reflux; a single crystal X-ray analysis has revealed a tetrahedral arrangement of the four metal atoms with twelve terminally bound CO ligands.
