Abstract
The chapter uses data to examine whether it makes sense in socio-economic terms to have a distinct category of 'extreme poverty'. It then compares various datasets to locate in socio-economic terms the target population of a particular extreme poverty eradication programme known as Shiree. This allows for an initial identification of meaningful graduation indicators
