Abstract
A polymeric wavelength division multiplexer based on a new double reflective grating structure (DRG) is presented for the first time. A four-channel device with a channel spacing of 200 GHz (1.6 nm) has been designed and realized for application within the low cost datacoms market. The device exhibits a 3 dB/20 dB passband ratio of 48%, which is over twice that of a standard single element grating device.
