Abstract

The structure of the title compound, [La(μ-Cl)₃-(C₄H₈O)(H₂O)] _n, is based on a bidimensional mesh-like polymer. The metal is eight-coordinate with distorted square antiprismatic geometry; each [LaCl₃(thf)(H₂O)] unit is linked to three others via pairs of chloride bridges.
