Abstract
Background and Purpose:
Global mobility and relocation are critical for international business operations, but they present significant environmental challenges. This study uses Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and systems thinking to identify and address the high-impact environmental aspects of these services, with an emphasis on the balance of environmental sustainability, customer acceptance, and operational costs.
Methods:
The research initiates with a comprehensive LCA to determine the environmental footprints of our industrial partner’s current operations, establishing a business as usual for comparison with alternative scenarios. Scenario modelling is used to show the impacts of potential changes in operations on costs and environmental outcomes, including greenhouse gas emissions.
Results:
We don’t have one right now
Conclusions:
The study emphasizes the role of LCA and systems thinking in improving the sustainability of global mobility operations. The findings help to inform strategic decisions that promote environmental responsibility while also ensuring economic viability and customer satisfaction. This approach establishes a standard for sustainable practices in the global mobility industry.
