Abstract

During the reaction of [Sn(C₅H₅)₂] with 2-lithiopyridine, further reaction of the [BuⁿBr] byproduct leads to the formation of [BuⁿSn(NC₅H₄-C,N) ₃LiBr]·0.5thf 1, interaction of the tris(pyridyl)tin(IV) ligand of which, with CuCl₂, produces [BuⁿSn(NC₅H₄-C,N) ₃CuBr]·0.5thf 2.
