Abstract

During the reaction of [Sn(C5H5)2] with 2-lithiopyridine, further reaction of the [BunBr] byproduct leads to the formation of [BunSn(NC5H4-C,N) 3LiBr]·0.5thf 1, interaction of the tris(pyridyl)tin(IV) ligand of which, with CuCl2, produces [BunSn(NC5H4-C,N) 3CuBr]·0.5thf 2.
