Abstract
The two parameter estimator developed for 13.8 and 24 GHz is shown to be robust for rainfall rates in the range of 1-100 mm hr-1. The fundamental requirement for the successful application of this estimator is that Z and K be independent. If this is not the case, the estimator degenerates to a conventional R = aZb or R = cKd form.
