Nanoreinforced Solid Fibre Laminates (NSFL) for improved impact resistant properties

Research output: Other contribution

Abstract

The current project aimed to optimise the composition of
nanoparticle-embedded carbon fibre reinforced plastic and demonstrate that the material has effective mechanical properties at a larger scale; that of a
section of the leading edge of a wing (winglet) as found in
commercial aircraft.
