Abstract
This paper tells part of the contemporary CO2 story through the chemistry developed in my laboratory at the University of Bari or wherever I have been in the world, since the discovery of the first Ni–CO2 complex up to the various catalytic conversion reactions of CO2 into several added-value products. Most of the reactions are described with relevant reaction mechanisms. Here and there, some failures are discussed just to show that the way to success is paved with hidden traps or holes of knowledge that must be filled before one can progress.
