Abstract

A multichannel grating cavity (MGC) laser has been used to generate WDM channels simultaneously using a novel crosstalk compensation scheme. With a channel spectral separation of 2.2 nm in the 1.5µm wavelength range, crosstalk levels of better than 20 dB have been achieved. Good agreement is obtained between theory and experiment.
