Abstract

Heterobimetallic thiolate [Cu(PPh₃)]₄(ZnCl)₂ (SEt)₆ has been synthesised and characterised by X-ray crystallography as a THF solvate. It contains the first structurally characterised example of a Cu^I-S(R)-Zn^II linkage and only the second species type to embody the Cu^I-S-Zn^II triad.
