Abstract

Theoretical limits of RF transmission over MMF are modelled. A statistical analysis predicts 11MSymbol/s QPSK transmission over 3.6km 62.5μm MMF at 2.5GHz, corresponding to more than 10 times the achievable length for conventional baseband design.
