Abstract

Various aspects of the DNA fingerprinting, a tool for identifying criminal suspects for establishing personal identification, were discussed. It was found that issues of parentage was solved easily using the DNA fingerprint of each person involved. The human DNA profiles were generated by size-sorting the hypervariable regions at small number of chromosomal regions. The establishment of a national DNA database with only DNA profiles was elaborated.
