Abstract
Metadata might be data about data, but they are more properly defined by how they are used than what they are. And there are many important uses for metadata, including making data more discoverable and usable for future research. This presentation introduces some metadata standards that might be used to improve the discoverability of TEDDINET data, and others that would enhance their interoperability with other data of a similar class.
