Low jitter Q-switching using optoelectronic feedback

Abstract

Timing jitter in multicontact InGaAsP/InP lasers has been reduced through the implementation of a novel optoelectronic feedback scheme. This single-chip scheme allows improvements in imcorrelated jitter over alternative active and passive Q-switching techniques.
