Abstract

The group 11 metal imino complexes [{Cu[μ-N=C(Bu^t)Ph]} ₄]·thf 2 (thf = tetrahydrofuran) and [{Cu[μ-N=C(Bu ^t)Ph]}₄(PPh₃)₂]·6thf 3 have been prepared by the unusual ligand-transfer reactions of the tris(imino)stannate complex Sn[μ-N=C(Bu^t)Ph]₃Li· thf with CuCl; both complexes have been shown by crystallography to contain planar Cu₄ cores.
