Abstract

Chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry is widely used in environmental analysis due to its exceptional performance in both quantitative trace analysis and characterization of unknowns in environmental samples. This chapter aims to focus on pharmacologically active compounds (PACs) in the aqueous environment, current state of the art, and critical evaluation of existing analytical approaches.
